Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting or industry with a focus on multi-state tax compliance and consulting.
• Strong time management, communication, analytical thinking, and client service skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and mentor junior staff; CPA/EA/IPT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review state and local income and franchise tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and other entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist clients with state income/franchise, sales taxes, M&A, nexus, and filing positions.
• Conduct technical research on state tax laws, changes in legislation and case law.
• Analyze client data to identify filing obligations, exposures, and planning opportunities.
• Support clients in state tax audits, notices, and controversy matters.
• Maintain strong internal relationships across service lines and engagement teams.
• Develop technical state tax expertise and communicate insights to clients and internal teams.
• Manage multiple client projects in a deadline-driven environment; ensure accuracy and quality.
• Participate in mentoring and business development initiatives.
