Baker Tilly US, a leading CPA advisory firm in San Francisco, seeks a Senior State & Local Tax Associate to join our growing SALT practice. You will work with CFOs and leaders from middle market and Fortune 500 companies to address complex state and local tax challenges.

Responsibilities include state tax consulting, nexus analyses, compliance support, and responding to notices; you will also participate in research, planning, and professional development within a collaborative team.

Formación

• 4-year degree, license eligible required.
• Actively pursuing CPA, CMI or JD/LLM preferred.
• Three (3) + years in state and local tax, professional services preferred.
• Eagerness to work on a variety of SALT projects.
• US work eligibility without sponsorship preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic state and local tax consulting for clients to lower liabilities.
• Research state tax issues, nexus determinations, and potential liabilities.
• Assist with compliance matters including state returns and filings.
• Respond to notices from state/local tax authorities and manage audits.
• Support due diligence and voluntary disclosure projects.
