Job summary

PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) is responsible for delivering professional grooming services while supporting a high-performing team. The role focuses on quality care for pets and developing bathers and new stylists through the grooming development program.

The position emphasizes people leadership, training, coaching, schedule flexibility, and ensuring excellent pet parent experiences across channels. PetSmart fosters diversity and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full time availability with ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with grooming tools, equipment and products for safe, quality work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates associate experience and development through training, onboarding, mentoring and coaching.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather/stylist certification processes.
• Identifies candidates for academy training to become stylists and oversees salon tasks.
• Maintains salon standards and ensures compliance with policies and code of ethics.
• Promotes salon sales and participates in achieving targets and productivity.
