PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) oversees providing exceptional grooming services and supporting a high-performing team, aligned with PetSmart’s mission and values. The role focuses on delivering quality care for pets and developing bathers and new stylists through the grooming program.

You'll lead grooming operations, engage with pet parents, drive salon sales, and ensure store standards while upholding our policies and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience.
• Full-time availability; ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with grooming tools, equipment and products.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates associate experience and supports development through training, onboarding, mentoring and coaching.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather/stylist certification.
• Identifies candidates for academy training to become stylists.
• Delegates and validates completion of daily salon tasks.
• Maintains salon standards and ensures compliance with policies and code of ethics.
• Performs full menu of bath, brush and grooming services and related procedures.
• Promotes salon sales to achieve targets and productivity.
• Maintains cleanliness and humane conditions for pets in grooming area.
