PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) oversees a high performing grooming team and delivers professional services with focus on pet care. The role develops bathers and new stylists through the grooming development program, while upholding PetSmart’s vision and store standards.

Responsibilities include leading associate development, driving salon sales, and maintaining sanitation, safety, and compassionate pet handling in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full time availability required; flexibility in schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with grooming tools and safety procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead salon team development including bathers and stylists through certification programs.
• Support grooming operations, ensure quality and care for pets.
• Drive salon sales and meet productivity targets.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet handling in grooming areas.
• Collaborate with Experience Leader on trends and store needs.
