Job summary

PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) is responsible for providing exceptional service to pet parents and supporting a high performing team while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role will deliver professional quality services with the upmost focus on quality and care of pets.

The Salon Experience Lead will support the development of bathers and new stylists, seeing them through the entire pet stylist development program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; able to complete a technical exam if required.
• Full time availability; capable of evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with grooming tools, equipment and products; safe handling.
• Proficiency in computer applications; comfortable with booking systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work under pressure and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Lead salon team development; train and coach bathers and stylists.
• Identify internal candidates for academy training to become stylists.
• Delegate daily salon tasks and monitor performance.
• Maintain pet safety, cleanliness, and humane handling in grooming areas.
• Promote salon services and merchandise; strive to achieve sales targets.
