The role emphasizes customer service, pet wellness recommendations, and teamwork in a dynamic retail environment. Full-time availability and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with grooming tools, equipment and products.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates associate experience and development through training, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather/stylist certification.
• Identifies candidates for academy training to become stylists.
• Delegates and validates daily salon tasks; handles complaints and promotes engagement.
• Ensures pet parent experience via phone, in person, or online; answers questions and recommends wellness solutions.
• Performs full menu of grooming services and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
• Drives salon sales and supports store marketing promotions.
• Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions for pets.
