Job summary

Milan Institute in Wisconsin seeks a Customer Service Specialist for our student salon floor. You will be the face of the institution, handling client appointments and delivering an exceptional experience for salon clients.

You will coordinate bookings with instructors and students, promote services, manage payments, and maintain a welcoming, organized salon environment while supporting student learning and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional education in customer service/hospitality is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in beauty or salon.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome salon clients, creating a positive first impression.
• Schedule appointments, manage client preferences, and address inquiries.
• Coordinate bookings with instructors and students for efficient salon operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the client’s salon experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized salon floor, workstations, and common areas.
• Handle client concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Process payments and manage cash register transactions.
• Promote salon services and promotions to encourage referrals and repeat business.
• Stay updated with industry trends and product knowledge to make informed recommendations.
• Assist with other administrative tasks and salon projects as needed.
