Job summary

Milan Institute, a private post-secondary college, is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to be the face of our student salon floor in Las Vegas. You will manage client appointments, deliver exceptional service, and support students' learning and development in a dynamic beauty environment.

Responsibilities include greeting clients, coordinating bookings with instructors, handling payments, and promoting services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional training in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
• Previous experience in customer service, preferably in beauty or salon settings.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication with clients, students, and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for appointments and operations.
• Enthusiasm for working with students and supporting their learning and development.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency with salon management software or booking systems is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of cosmetology services, terminology, and beauty product brands.
• Professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on salon hours and client demands.

Responsibilities

• Greet salon clients in a friendly, professional manner and create a positive first impression.
• Assist clients with scheduling appointments, preferences, and inquiries.
• Coordinate and manage client bookings with instructors and students for smooth operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the salon experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized salon floor, workstations, tools, and common areas.
• Handle client complaints professionally and work toward timely resolutions.
• Process payments and manage cash register transactions.
• Promote salon services and promotions to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge to make recommendations.
• Assist with other administrative tasks and salon projects as needed.
