Job summary

JLG Industries, a global manufacturer of access equipment, is seeking a Sales Trainee to join its North American Field Sales team. The role offers a rotational program across Inside Sales, Field Aftermarket, Whole Goods, Marketing, Finance, Purchasing, and Manufacturing, with about 50% travel to build customer relationships.

You will learn all areas of the sales organization, support order entry and customer calls, and coordinate cross-functional activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
• Ability to travel 50-70%.
• Experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Ability to work independently and within a team structured environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
• Strong customer focus and consultative approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
• Located close to a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Understand and learn all areas of JLG sales team through a rotational program.
• Work with the inside sales team to enter orders, and field customer calls.
• Act as an inter-department liaison coordinating essential company activities on behalf of the sales team.
• Partner with sales team members to ensure alignment on customer and regional needs or trends.
• Partner with sales representatives to enter customer information and configure machines that meet customer’s current and future demands.
• Analyze regional sales and order book entries to provide credible input for the forecasting process.
• Handle certain administrative tasks as assigned.
