Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking a Sales Trainee to learn product knowledge, sales processes, and customer service. Training across multiple regions will build broad exposure to operations and customer bases, with relocation to Southeast facilities after completion.

The role emphasizes learning business math, sales tools, and company procedures, with hands-on production exposure and field travel with Account Managers to develop client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for business applications.

Responsibilities

• Understands and applies business math to manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assists in production activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of operational procedures.
• Enters orders in systems accurately and efficiently.
• Prepares detailed reports as required by supervisors and management.
• Travels with Account Managers to become proficient with industry terms and assist in sales activities.
• Makes sales calls to current and prospective clients, demonstrating professionalism and product knowledge.
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of company products, procedures, and policies related to sales.
• Communicates effectively with all organizational levels and the public, both verbally and in writing.
• Plans and executes meetings effectively, ensuring all necessary materials and participants are prepared.
• Travels to other facilities as part of the best practice training
