Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Sales Trainee to learn products, policies, and procedures while performing basic sales and customer service tasks. You will train across several regions under the Regional Sales Manager and gradually handle customer interactions with guidance.

The program includes hands-on experience in sales tools, order entry, and reporting, with opportunities to travel with Account Managers and support multiple facilities during the training period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other software for business applications.

Responsibilities

• Understands and applies business math to manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assists in production activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of operational procedures.
• Develops a thorough knowledge of UFPI-utilized business systems, applications, and sales tools.
• Enters orders in systems accurately and efficiently.
• Prepares detailed reports as required by supervisors and management.
• Communicates effectively with all organizational levels and the public, both verbally and in writing.
• Makes sales calls to current and prospective clients, demonstrating professionalism and product knowledge.
• Travels with Account Managers to become proficient with industry terms and assist in sales activities.
