Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking a proactive Sales Support Specialist/CSR to back the Sales Manager and ensure a smooth customer experience. You will manage orders, update customers on status, and coordinate with production and vendors to keep jobs moving on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in sales support or customer service, is organized, and communicates well under pressure. A strong focus on accuracy and responsiveness is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in sales support, customer service and management, or a related role.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers, orders, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, production, and outside vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and general computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage incoming calls.
• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to generate leads and support sales initiatives.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for customers, building relationships that support the Sales Manager.
• Enter, process, and track orders in the Production Calendar.
• Proactively communicate with customers about order status and timelines.
• Place apparel orders with vendors and confirm pricing, sizing, and delivery timelines.
• Track vendor order status and ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate order details and deadlines to production, and relay updates to customers.
• Coordinate with Sales Manager on priorities and needs.
• Resolve customer questions and order discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized records in the CRM.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell.
• Support other administrative, sales and customer service tasks.
