Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) seeks a Supervisory Sales Associate at the Charleston Student Store in Goose Creek, SC. You will lead a team, assist customers, promote products, and ensure outstanding service while maintaining a positive work environment.

You will stay current on products, provide coaching, and help drive store performance through effective leadership and customer-focused selling techniques.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail or relevant work experience.
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Able to read, write and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Able to make change in American monetary units.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive customer service and build connections with customers.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about promotions and events (STAR card).
• Cross-sell products and remain knowledgeable about store layout and trends.
• Maintain store appearance and ensure accurate pricing, ticketing, and inventory.
• Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and reconciliation.
• Supervise and coach sales associates, assign tasks, and open/close locations as needed.
• Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
