Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business development through prospecting, networking, cold outreach, and lead generation activities.
  • Identify, engage, and secure meetings with senior decision-makers across research and innovation-focused organizations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation, close, and renewal.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including laboratory managers, research leaders, R&D executives, and IT teams.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, challenges, and purchasing criteria.
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations and effectively communicate solution value.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and commercial teams to support revenue growth initiatives.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Navigate complex buying processes and position solutions effectively against competitive alternatives.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of solution selling experience, preferably selling software, SaaS, research databases, or similar solutions to academic or corporate customers.
  • Proven experience in business development, prospecting, and customer acquisition.
  • Strong track record of generating new business and closing opportunities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Training in a solution-selling methodology or similar consultative sales framework.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized with strong time management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience selling into academic, life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, or research organizations preferred.
  • Understanding of scientific or experimental workflows is a plus.
  • Master's degree in a natural science field is preferred but not required.
