Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin seeks a dynamic Sales Account Manager to call on accounts, cover daily routes, analyze the account base, and deliver professional presentations on new products, placements, resets, drink and wine lists, and promotions.

You will maintain inventory levels, train staff on priority brands, manage receivables, resolve issues, and drive sales objectives in a fast-paced environment while upholding compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sales.
  • Basic PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs including presentation software.
  • Results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Analytic and Reporting skills.
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, team environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Call on accounts and cover daily routes using an established and efficient routing pattern.
  • Analyze the account base, identify opportunities, complete surveys, and ensure national account compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations covering new products, placements, resets, drink and wine lists, and promotions.
  • Maintain product levels by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permissible.
  • Educate account staff on priority brands through training seminars.
  • Manage customer account receivables, including credits, returns, and aged receivables.
  • Service accounts by delivering products in extenuating circumstances and handling or escalating customer issues.
  • Achieve sales and merchandising objectives, including distribution, volume, and activity goals.
  • Plan around company pricing, product programming, inventory levels, and demand fluctuations.
  • Maintain brand visibility and account standards using point-of-sale materials.
  • Collect and deliver checks or other remittance where legally permissible.
  • Support new account openings by developing opening orders with the Field Sales Manager.
  • Participate in supplier work-with sales calls and sales blitzes.
  • Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public while handling beverage alcohol products.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
