Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

At DEIF, we are looking for a Sales Manager – Marine & Offshore, to strengthen our sales team and drive our growth in the U.S.

About the Job

The Sales Manager - Marine & Offshore, will be an instrumental part of our strategic sales plans and regional growth. You will be conducting technical and commercial visits to clients, with the goal of identifying business opportunities and areas for improvement.

Your consultative approach to clients will focus on understanding their needs and propose solutions to enhance DEIF's products and services for energy management. It is crucial to have strong account management and negotiation skills, a willingness to continually learn and adapt, and knowledge of the marine & offshore market.

Working tasks & responsibilities

  • Developing new customers targeted by the company by introducing products, conducting demos/trials for approvals, and securing contracts/orders.
  • Aligning individual (quarterly and annual) goals and contributions with the department goals, as well as the overall sales/growth strategy.
  • Managing and visiting existing customers, including OEM’s, marine electrical systems integrators, engine dealers, asset owners, and switchboard manufacturers.
  • Actively selling to new and existing customers all ranges of DEIF products including making “cold calls”.
  • Leveraging DEIF’s new and cutting-edge academy/training center in the U.S. Conducting product seminars/training/demonstration for new and existing customers.
  • Participating in marine related exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Following price management processes and entering relevant leads/visits in CRM.
  • Focusing on process improvements and team collaboration with the operations, service & support teams.
  • Understanding safety measures in line with our Global Safety Policy. Identifying gaps and proactively suggest improvements.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of successful experience in technical sales preferably in the marine and offshore sector with generators, technology, or industrial controls, protection relays, PLCs, instrumentation, power conversion & power management.
  • Experience with end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to closing.
  • A hunter mentality, with high resilience and proactive approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build solid, long-lasting relationships.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. marine market and customers.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Knowledge of applications and products.
  • Excellent communication skills – Verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with CRM systems.
  • Team player with a growth mindset.
