Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Floor Department Supervisor in the United States. This role leads a team to deliver top customer service, supports merchandising, and ensures store safety and smooth daily operations.

It involves coaching staff, delegating tasks, and maintaining adequate department coverage with strong product knowledge. The position may involve opening/closing the store or acting as MOD, with travel to nearby stores occasionally.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers provide the best service.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery and merchandising decisions.
• Monitor use of store power equipment and coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience, including coaching and training, delegating, and ensuring department coverage.
• Communicate upward to management about concerns, issues, praises, and morale.
