Job summary

Lowe’s in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates in delivering outstanding service. You will guide day-to-day tasks, assist with merchandising decisions, and ensure a clean, safe, well-stocked store that meets customer needs.

The role includes coaching, delegating, monitoring safety, and occasionally opening/closing the store or acting as manager-on-duty. Travel is rare, but meetings and trainings may require occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, follow up on daily goals, and manage performance.
• Ensure adequate department coverage and handle both customer-facing and back-end activities.
• Supervise safety walks, report hazards, and understand safety and lifting directions.
• Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
