Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead and coach a team of associates delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic home improvement retail environment.

The role involves managing daily tasks, ensuring department coverage, and balancing customer-facing activities with back‑end duties such as inventory and safety compliance. Occasional opening/closing and MOD duties may occur.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of retail experience OR 5 years total retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross‑functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience.
• Delegate, follow up on daily tasks, manage performance, and ensure adequate department coverage.
• Handle customer-facing activities (greeting, need clarification, solutions, closing sales).
• Oversee non-customer-facing tasks (down stocking, inventory management, area recovery).
• Ensure store safety through safety walks and reporting hazards.
• Communicate best practices to drive customer-focused behavior and sales goals.
• Assist with opening/closing the store or MOD as needed.
• Travel to meetings or trainings may be required on occasion.
