Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates, deliver outstanding customer service, and maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked store environment.

You will coach staff, delegate tasks, monitor merchandising, and ensure safety compliance. Occasional opening/closing duties and manager-on-duty coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean, safe store.
• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery; input into merchandising decisions.
• Monitor use of store power equipment; coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
• Lead and enable a team of associates; coach, train, delegate, and manage performance.
• Handle customer facing activities and non-customer facing tasks; participate in safety walks and hazard reporting.
• Open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD) on occasion.
• May travel to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores/outlets.
