Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Sales Floor Lead to assist with daily store operations and drive sales to meet budget while upholding company standards. You may perform supervisory duties for the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager during assigned hours.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, well-presented store, rotating merchandise, training staff, handling cash, and modeling professional behavior.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior service industry experience preferred.
• Retail training must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register to take totals, accept payment, authorize refunds and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
• Stock the sales floor adequately and maintain a clean public image.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in shopping areas.
• Record and balance cash receipts, make deposits, and record store transactions.
• Assist in training and mentoring Sales Floor Associates.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts as assigned.
