Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana seeks a Sales Floor Lead to support daily store operations and sales performance, acting as a supervisor when the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager is unavailable. You will help ensure budget targets are met while upholding company standards.

Responsibilities include cash register operation, merchandising, staff mentoring, maintaining a clean, safe store environment, and training new hires.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior service industry experience preferred.
• Retail training completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle voids, returns, exchanges and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• Act as a positive role model and mentor to employees and trainees.
• Stock the sales floor adequately and maintain a clean, presentable store image.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in the shopping areas.
• Keep the store clean and hazard-free, including bathrooms.
