Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana seeks a Sales Floor Lead to support daily store operations and drive sales, while ensuring adherence to company standards and policies. The role acts as supervisor when assigned by Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager, maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming sales floor, trains new hires, and models professional behavior.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, some supervisory experience, and the ability to read, write and communicate

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Retail training is required.

Responsibilities

• Take cash register totals and process payments, returns, exchanges and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
• Stock the sales floor adequately and present a clean, attractive store image.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in shopping areas.
• Keep store clean and hazard-free; bathrooms included.
• Observe personnel and safety policies; ensure compliance by staff.
• Perform the duties of Sales Floor Associates as needed.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts as assigned by management.
• Ensure daily floor checks and monthly safety inspections are completed.
• New hires are properly oriented within the first week of employment.
