Job summary

JCPenney is seeking a Sales Floor Assistant to drive customer service and profitable sales growth by leading associates, maintaining merchandise standards, and executing company programs.

You will engage customers, restock and manage inventory, support visual and set processes, and assist with omnichannel activities. The role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales – Model and hold team accountable for outstanding customer service and sales performance; listen to customer issues and resolve problems.
• Door to Floor / Restock / RFID & Inventory – plan merchandise placement, assist with receipts and stock moves, support cycle counts and RFID scans.
• SET / Visual / Environment – assist with floor moves, graphics placement, and visual detailing per guidance; support stockroom maintenance and housekeeping of the selling floor.
• Omnichannel – assist with jcp.com processes, orders, returns, and ship-from-store activities as needed.
• General Operations – support transfers, returns, and DMTO processes; participate in annual inventory activities.
• Performance Standards – help meet shrink, safety, and productivity targets; support attendance and customer service goals.
