Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor in Anchorage to lead a team and deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will coach associates, manage daily tasks, and ensure safety and proper coverage across the department.

You will work to meet sales and service objectives, provide input on merchandising, and may serve as MOD. A strong retail background and experience with Pro customers are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functional.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, and monitor daily performance.
• Ensure department coverage and manage in-store safety and operations.
• Oversee customer-facing activities and non-customer-facing tasks such as down stocking and inventory management.
• Communicate best practices to the team to drive sales and service goals.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel may be required to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.
