Metric, a leading global financial data and research business, seeks a Sales Specialist to grow its sellside client base in New York. The role focuses on economic data and market intelligence, helping institutions access information to support research and commercial decisions.

You will generate new business, build relationships with research and economics teams, and manage the full sales cycle with economists and solution architects, backed by an uncapped commission structure.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience selling financial data, research or analytics.
• Experience with sellside clients and managing consultative sales processes.
• Background in economic data or broader market intelligence.
• Experience with leading data vendors (e.g., Oxford Economics, LSEG, S&P Capital IQ or AlphaSense) is a plus.

A global financial data and research business is hiring a Sales Specialist to grow its sellside client base in New York.

The role focuses on economic data and market intelligence, helping financial institutions access the information they need to support research, market analysis and commercial decisions.

The role:

• Generate new business across banks and other sellside financial institutions.
• Develop relationships with research, economics and strategy teams.
• Identify client requirements and position relevant data and research solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle, working with economists, researchers and solution architects.

Your background:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience selling financial data, research or analytics.
• Experience working with sellside clients and managing consultative sales processes.
• A background in economic data or broader market intelligence.
• Relevant experience could come from businesses such as Oxford Economics, LSEG, S&P Capital IQ or AlphaSense.
