Now Hiring: Remote Sales Engineer – Water & Wastewater Solutions | U.S. Based

Are you a technically skilled engineer with a knack for translating complex systems into compelling proposals? We're seeking a Sales Engineer to join a mission-driven, innovation-focused water technology company.

This is a remote, U.S.-based position that supports national business development through process design, cost modeling, and proposal development in the wastewater and clean energy sectors.

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Product & Applications and plays a key part in supporting early-stage project planning and customer engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support the development of capital and operating cost models for wastewater-to-energy projects
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to identify efficient, cost-effective approaches to client proposals
  • Design preliminary process systems and generate block flow diagrams for technical responses
  • Build and maintain cost databases, equipment estimates, and economic models to support Water Energy Purchase Agreements (WEPAs)
  • Perform sensitivity analyses on financial models and support project incentive evaluations
  • Prepare presentation decks and supporting documentation for FEL-0 reviews
  • Draft operational SOPs, O&M manuals, and system startup protocols for project delivery teams
  • Analyze performance data from existing client installations to improve system optimization
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage timelines and technical deliverables
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in process or applications engineering—ideally in water, wastewater, anaerobic digestion, or membrane treatment systems
  • Proficiency in cost estimation, financial modeling, and understanding of commercial deal structures
  • Ability to lead multiple workstreams, work cross-functionally, and deliver under tight timelines
  • Strong communication skills (written, visual, and verbal) to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of fabrication methods, equipment sizing, and basic facility layouts
  • Experience building client-facing proposal materials and supporting sales initiatives from a technical lens
