Job summary

Total Wine & More in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering best-in-class service and building a sales-focused culture. You will lead a team, support daily operations, and help drive profitability through strong customer engagement.

You will oversee recruiting, training, payroll, inventory, merchandising and compliance with alcohol laws while driving KPIs and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of work experience, retail preferred.
• 2+ years of managerial or supervisory retail experience.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team with ongoing development.
• Support day-to-day operations: payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe, compliant store.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
