Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering best-in-class service and building a distinctive world of adult beverages for customers. You will support store operations, lead a sales-focused team, and help drive profitability while ensuring compliant and safe store operations.

You will recruit, train, and develop staff, manage payroll and inventory, and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years in retail with 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Experience leading and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Grow the company brand by delivering best-in-class service and building a sales and service culture to expand the customer base and maximize profitability.
• Support store operations including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Recruit, train and lead store team with ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives and ensure compliance with alcohol regulations.
