Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering best-in-class service and a distinctive world of adult beverages. You will support store operations and help build a sales culture to expand our customer base and profitability, reporting to the Store Manager.

You will lead a sales-focused team, drive KPIs, recruit/train staff, manage payroll/inventory, and ensure compliance with alcohol laws while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of work experience, 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in retail.
• Experience leading and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team; develop product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink control.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store objectives.
• Ensure compliance with laws related to alcohol sales and safe store operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
