Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering best-in-class service and building a knowledgeable, sales-driven store culture. You will support daily operations, payroll, inventory, and staff development under the Store Manager’s guidance.

You will recruit and mentor a team, drive sales against KPIs, maintain vendor relations, and ensure compliance with alcohol laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience with 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial role in retail.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against KPIs.
• Recruit, train and lead store team and develop staff knowledge and sales skills.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including payroll, inventory and merchandising.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and maintain a safe store environment.
