Ed Selden Carpet One Floor & Home in Lakewood, WA is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our team. Build lasting client relationships, present design options, and close high-end flooring sales.

This role features a base salary with commission, paid training, flexible scheduling, and health benefits. You will work Monday through Saturday with some Saturdays, have access to company devices, and growth opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' proven experience in Flooring Sales or related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Determine overall flooring and design needs while offering great customer experiences.
• Build genuine relationships with new and existing customers.
• Schedule appointments for client design consultations.
• Keep up to date on the selection of products and services provided.
• Measure spaces, estimate materials, bid on projects, present proposals, and manage payments.
• Oversee project quality and keep the install team on track.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

• Determine overall flooring & design needs while offering great customer experiences
• Build genuine relationships with new & existing customers
• Schedule appointments for client design consultations
• Keep up to date on the selection of products & services provided
• Measure spaces, estimate materials, bid on projects, present proposals, product suggestions, manage payments & oversee project quality
• Keep the install team on track by sharing clear notes + photos
• Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications, availability & to order materials
• Utilize social media to create networking groups & prospect for new business
• Keep the showroom clean, organized & on trend

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years' proven work experience in Flooring Sales, Interior Design, Real Estate, Remodeling Sales, or similar role
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation (REQUIRED)
• Ability to pass a background check (REQUIRED)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook & CRM platforms
• Fundamental tech, social media & math skills
• Personal & professional judgmentPositive, communicative & motivated to help grow the business
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
• Quick to help customers get what they need
• Organizational skills & the flexibility to pivot from priority to priority
• Time management skills & detailed oriented
• Strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to create project estimates a big plus - willing to train
• Knowledge of RFMS a plus, but not required - willing to train
• Flooring or design experience is a plus, but not required, we’re happy to train the right person
