Job summary

La-Z-Boy in Sarasota is seeking a dynamic Sales Associate to drive store sales while delivering exceptional customer service. You will promote the Design program, present room designs, and guide customers through the La-Z-Boy selling process.

Training pays $16/hour for 2-6 weeks, with average annual earnings $45,000–$65,000+ after training, driven by uncapped commissions and base pay. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and selling skills with knowledge of La-Z-Boy processes.
• Interest in interior design and ability to present design options.
• Willing to complete training pay period (2–6 weeks).
• Ability to work in a store environment and meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories and services offered by La-Z-Boy
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve goals
• Execute the La-Z-Boy selling process and provide a favorable experience
• Develop and utilize sales skills including approach, rapport, discovery, presentations, objections, closing, follow-up
• Maximize store promotions and keep knowledge of products
• Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs
• Provide highest level of customer service
• Use Podium to ensure customer satisfaction and future follow-up
• Assist in handling customer issues with appropriate solutions
