Job summary

West Elm in Pasadena, part of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced specialty retail setting. You will apply effective selling techniques to meet sales goals, assist with services such as gift wrap and registry, and share in-depth product knowledge to guide customers to ideal purchases.

The role requires strong multitasking, accurate POS operation, and a commitment to store presentation and stock management.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience; specialty retail preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Full-time associates should have open availability; weekend shifts required.
• Part-Time Flex associates must be available for two weekend shifts and two weekday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide sincere, friendly, energetic customer service and uphold World-Class standards.
• Meet sales goals and stay informed on current promotions.
• Assist customers with services including gift wrap, registry, and special orders.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and close sales through effective selling techniques.
• Operate POS transactions accurately and handle returns/exchanges.
• Support visual merchandising and maintain store cleanliness and stockroom organization.
• Process, ticket, and restock merchandise as needed.
