Joshua Tree Experts in Bethesda, MD, serving the McLean, VA market, is expanding. We seek a top-tier Sales Arborist to own the Northern Virginia and DC territory and lead our MD/VA/DC Sales team selling high-value tree and plant health care solutions to affluent homeowners.

This year-round role focuses on territory growth, consultative selling, precise estimating, and premium contract closes, with a dedicated vehicle and CRM support to drive success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of outside sales, B2C sales, or territory management.
• Solid understanding of tree care and plant health care programs.
• ISA Certified Arborist and Commercial Pesticide Applicator License are assets but not required.
• Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills for high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities

• Territory Growth: Prospect, build local networks, and capture new business in high-end NoVA neighborhoods.
• Consultative Sales: Educate homeowners on plant health care programs and close premium service agreements.
• Estimating & Proposals: Perform detailed property inspections, calculate precise job costs, and deliver polished proposals.
• Client Retention: Ensure exceptional service through post-job follow-ups to maximize referrals.

Joshua Tree Experts, a premier outdoor home service company based in Bethesda, MD, and serving the McLean, VA market is expanding. We are seeking a top-tier Sales Arborist to take ownership of and aggressively grow our highly lucrative Northern Virginia and DC territory. You will lead our MD/VA/DC Sales team to sell high-value, comprehensive tree and plant health care solutions to affluent homeowners who value quality and expertise.

The Role

The Arborist Account Manager is a year-round position focused on territory growth and client relationship building. As the face of the "Joshua Tree Experience" across Northern Virginia, you will evaluate high-end properties, consult with homeowners, and close premium contracts.

Core Responsibilities

• Territory Growth: Prospect, build local networks, and capture new business in high-end NoVA neighborhoods (backed by company-driven digital marketing and lead generation campaigns).
• Consultative Sales: Educate homeowners on plant health care programs and leverage relationship-based sales strategies to close premium service agreements.
• Estimating & Proposals: Perform detailed property inspections, calculate precise job costs, and deliver polished, competitive proposals.
• Client Retention: Ensure exceptional service through proactive post-job follow-ups to maximize long-term client retention and referrals.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with office management and production crews to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate job execution.

Qualifications

• Sales Experience: 4+ years of proven success in outside sales, B2C sales, or territory management (required).
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of tree care and plant health care programs (required).
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • ISA Certified Arborist (HUGE plus, but not a requirement)
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (VA, MD, or DC) - A bonus, but not a requirement
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills tailored to high-net-worth clients.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using sales technology and CRMs.
• Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and flexibility for client appointments.

Compensation & Benefits

• Earning Potential: $120,000 to $150,000+ expected annual income via base salary plus uncapped commission structure.
