Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts in Houston, TX is seeking a dynamic Sales Account Representative to drive residential and commercial growth in tree care and PHC. This full-time role emphasizes high commissions on top of a base salary and includes a company vehicle for client visits.

You will educate homeowners and business clients on PHC programs, perform on-site assessments, and build long-term relationships with local partners while working with a professional, insured crew.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Are you a natural relationship builder with a high conversion rate and a hunger to win? You don't need an ISA Certified Arborist credential on day one-we will help you get educated and certified! What you do need is a strong interest in trees, landscape health, and recurring plant health care, along with a track record of closing high-value deals.

In this role, you will represent the Joshua Tree Experts brand in the field, educate homeowners and businesses on tree preservation, sell recurring PHC and pest control programs, and build long-term relationships with local partners.

What You'll Be Doing

• Drive Sales & Close Deals: Perform on-site property assessments, educate clients on proper tree care and plant health, and consistently close residential and commercial proposals.
• Sell Recurring PHC & Pest Services: Educate clients on the long-term value of deep-root fertilization, insect/disease management, and perimeter pest control programs to build recurring revenue streams.
• Lead Generation & Business Networking: Proactively prospect new leads through local networking (B2B, HOAs, property managers, commercial real estate), community events, and targeted outreach.
• Articulate Premium Value: Confidently explain why hiring a premier, safety-first arborist company protects property value better than low-cost, uninsured competitors.
• Schedule/Collaborate with the Crew: Work side-by-side with our production crews to ensure smooth handoffs, clear job scopes, and 100% customer satisfaction.
• Collections: Collect due invoices.

What We Are Looking For

• Dynamic, High-Energy Personality: You connect instantly with people, project confidence, and love the challenge of closing sales.
• High Conversion Rate: Proven track record in field sales, home services, or consultative selling where you consistently meet or exceed quotas.
• Passion for the Outdoors & Plant Health: Strong interest in tree biology, soil care, and pest control (bonus points if you can spot a Live Oak, Bald Cypress, Cedar Elm, or Southern Magnolia!).
• Texas Plant Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with Texas native trees, local soil conditions (like gumbo clay), and seasonal heat/pest pressures (e.g., Oak Wilt, chinch bugs) is a huge plus.
• Growth Mindset: Eager to learn the technical side of arboriculture and work toward earning your ISA Certified Arborist credential (we support your professional growth!).
• Clean Driving Record: Valid driver's license required to operate the company vehicle.
