Jobot is hiring a Permanent Safety Specialist for a state‑of‑the‑art electronic manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on hazard control, incident investigations, safety audits, and the development of comprehensive safety programs to protect workers.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in manufacturing safety, strong OSHA knowledge, and CSP credentials (preferred). Excellent communication and training abilities are essential in a fast-paced environment with growth

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety specialist role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
• Experience in hazard control, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety audits.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Proficient in JHA/JSA methodologies and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules.
• Plan and conduct training for employees in site safety practices.
• Perform safety inspections and participate in audits to ensure compliance.
• Maintain safety files and documentation of processes and incidents.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Track incident data to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Travel to site visits and audits as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
• Plan and implement training for employees in work site safety practices.
• Conduct safety inspections and participate in audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform hazard assessments, job hazard analysis (JHA) and job safety analysis (JSA).
• Conduct incident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Track and analyze incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintain safety files and records, ensuring accurate documentation of all safety processes and incidents.
• Promote a culture of safety among employees through education, training, and communication.
• Stay up-to-date with latest safety regulations and best practices in the industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety specialist role within the manufacturing industry.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in hazard control, incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and safety audit processes.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficient in performing JHA/JSA.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to travel as needed for site visits and audits.
