Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of a comprehensive safety program across multiple sites.

You will partner with Health, Property Management, and other stakeholders to reduce workplace injuries, manage audits, and maintain safety data systems. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with significant health and safety experience is required, plus OSHA-30 within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health or related field with 5–7 years in health and safety.
• HS Diploma/GED with minimum 10 years of health and safety experience.
• OSHA-30 certification obtainable within 12 months of hire.
• Experience coordinating safety or operational functions and in compliance audits.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and enhance safety programs to meet licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Chair and coordinate cross-organizational safety committees.
• Partner with Occupational Health and Property Management to reduce injuries and risk.
• Review and update emergency operation plans, safety data sheets, and site safety documents.
• Collect, organize, retain, and present documentation from inspections, drills, and audits.
• Manage digital systems for safety data and documentation.
• Coordinate the agency’s quarterly safety audit process.
• Participate in safety incident reviews and response processes.
• Coordinate purchasing of safety gear and supplies.
• Partner with Training Center of Excellence to design safety training programs.
• Prepare and present reports on training metrics, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Review, update, and implement safety policies and procedures.
