Job summary

Easterseals NH & VT is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive safety program across multiple sites. You will collaborate with Health, Facilities, and program teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

The role requires a degree in safety or equivalent experience, along with strong project management, data analysis, and reporting skills. A valid driver’s license and OSHA-30 training within a year are also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field with 5–7 years of safety experience OR High School Diploma with 10 years in health and safety.
• OSHA-30 Certification within one year of hire.
• Experience in project management, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience coordinating safety or operational functions.
• Experience participating in compliance audits in a highly regulated field (preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations (preferred).
• Experience with safety data sheets and documentation management.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and enhance organizational safety programming to ensure compliance across all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Chair and coordinate cross-organizational safety committees.
• Partner with Occupational Health, Property Management, and other stakeholders to reduce workplace injuries and mitigate risk.
• Review and update emergency operation plans and site safety documents.
• Collect, organize, and present inspection and compliance evidence.
• Manage digital systems for safety data collection and documentation.
• Lead quarterly safety audits and incident reviews.
• Coordinate purchasing of safety gear and supplies.
• Design and implement workplace safety training programs with Training Center of Excellence.
• Prepare and present safety training metrics and corrective actions.
• Review and update safety policies and procedures.
