Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Utility Person to join our team in the United States. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated to perform cross-functional duties in plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation.

The role includes greasing and lubricating equipment, upkeep of housekeeping, equipment operation, and routine maintenance. Schedule: 6:00 am - 5:00 pm, weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• You may be a good fit if you have a high school diploma or GED and related experience.
• Experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
• Safety minded, dependable and motivated to perform cross-functional duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment; light welding as guided.
• Conduct daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance logs.
• Operate skid steer, front end loader and assist with cleaning around equipment and roadways.
• Run a water truck to limit airborne dust and participate in production activities.
• Assist with loading, shipping, quality control and general plant operations.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe traffic flow around the site.
• Operate excavation and haul trucks as needed and support training of coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
