Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a versatile Utility Person to support plant operations in production, maintenance, and housekeeping.

You will monitor plant conditions, grease and lubricate equipment, and ensure cleanliness and organization on the floor. The role offers opportunities to operate mobile equipment and assist with day-to-day operational needs, emphasizing teamwork and a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1-year equipment operation, plant operation, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read gauges/dials and make competent processing decisions.
• Must be able to work irregular shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Good oral and written communication; safety-focused team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping.
• Plant clean-up and lubrication.
• Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Must be willing to cross train in all plant areas.
• Operate plant-specific mobile equipment such as Bobcat, Kubota, RTV.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations and procedures.
• Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy toward teammates and customers.
• Maintains good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
