Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Utility Person to support plant operations across housekeeping, maintenance, production, and equipment operation. You will monitor plant conditions, grease and lubricate equipment, and maintain cleanliness while potentially operating equipment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and the ability to adapt to varied day-to-day tasks, contributing to the safe and efficient performance of the plant.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year equipment operation, plant operation, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret gauges/dials and make competent decisions related to processing equipment.
• Dependable and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to prioritize workload and show good oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping.
• Plant clean-up and lubrication.
• Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Cross-train in all plant areas.
• Operate plant-specific mobile equipment (e.g., Bobcat, Kubota, RTV).
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance log.
