Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a versatile Utility Person to support plant operations across housekeeping, maintenance, production, and equipment operation. You will monitor plant conditions, grease and lubricate equipment, and keep the plant clean and organized.

You may operate equipment and assist with day-to-day needs to ensure safe and productive performance. The role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on work, and a commitment to safety in varied shift schedules.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of equipment operation, plant operation, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read gauges/dials and make competent processing decisions.
• Willing to work irregular shifts, days, nights and weekends as needed.
• Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping.
• Plant clean-up and lubrication.
• Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Must be willing to cross-train in all plant areas.
• Operate plant-specific mobile equipment (e.g., Bobcat, Kubota, RTV).
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance log.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
• Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
