Job summary

Martin Marietta in Georgia is seeking a Safety-conscious Utility Person to support plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation. You will grease and lubricate equipment, maintain housekeeping, and help ensure safe operations during shifts that run 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, including weekends as necessary.

The role involves performing routine maintenance, inspections, operating skid steers, loaders, water trucks, and other plant machinery, plus assisting with training and daily production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the building materials industry preferred.
• Safety-conscious and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Conduct daily pre/post-shift inspections and log results.
• Operate hand shovel; run skid steer and front end loader to clean around equipment and maintain roadways.
• Operate a water truck to limit airborne dust.
• Participate in production, loading, shipping, and quality control tasks.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe traffic flow on site.
• Operate plant-specific mobile equipment such as excavators and haul trucks as needed.
• Assist in training co-workers and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
