Job summary

Veit is seeking a Safety Manager in Minnesota to lead comprehensive safety programs across construction, waste, and transportation projects. The role emphasizes reducing hazards, training employees on health and safety protocols, and driving a safety-first culture on all sites.

You will investigate incidents, conduct site safety audits, write safety plans, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in construction, waste, and/or transportation industries.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions with good written and oral communication.
• Ability to maintain compliance with Veit policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety compliance for Veit projects across sites, facilities, and fleets.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage; identify root causes and implement mitigations.
• Perform in-house site safety training and prepare Health and Safety Plans.
• Write site-specific safety programs and conduct regular safety audits with coaching.
• Assist field personnel in complying with OSHA, EPA, MDH, MPCA, DOT, and other regulations.
• Maintain and report safety records and air monitoring instruments.
