Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to develop, implement, and manage health and safety programs across multiple states for projects and service groups.

You will lead a team of safety professionals, oversee compliance, audits, and drive a strong safety culture within our Deep Foundations division. The role requires 8–10 years in construction safety, OSHA 30, and a track record in civil construction safety across several states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety/health and 7+ years of related experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in construction safety across multiple states.
• OSHA 30 Certification; strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; able to influence stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 50–70% across project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of safety managers, coordinators, and consultants across regions.
• Design, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state regs; conduct audits and inspections.
• Lead incident investigations; analyze data and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and maintain regular safety communications with stakeholders.
• Foster a strong safety culture and partner with project managers and leadership.
