Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to support our project safety program and field operations across North America. You will learn the skills, programs, regulations, and guidelines to keep our people safe and return home each day.

You will participate in site safety audits, assist in developing site policies, and gain exposure to construction management on real projects with travel and relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program and site policies.
• Monitor construction activities for regulatory and company compliance.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and support safety audits and training.
• Travel or relocate as needed to support projects and sites.
