Job summary
Kiewit Corporation is seeking a Safety Intern to learn and contribute to the Project Safety Program across North America. You will help develop site safety policies, monitor field activities for regulatory and client compliance, and support safety training to ensure workers return home safely.
The internship emphasizes hands-on learning in occupational safety, with opportunities for relocation to project sites and exposure to a diverse range of construction environments.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study.
- Knowledge of current Federal and OSHA requirements.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Safety Program development and site safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations, client, and company policies.
- Establish and monitor safe working conditions for personnel.
- Provide corrective action recommendations and help implement safety metrics.
