Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to learn the skills, programs, and guidelines we live by to keep our people safe on North American projects. You will support field teams, participate in developing site safety policies, and gain hands-on construction management experience.

You may relocate to project sites as needed. Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field and show strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study
• Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety metrics.
• Support on-site safety training and audits.
